Electronic Arts Focus presents an epic evening at the 291 Gallery of live

improvisations, stunning video work, totally sound installations, massive

photography projections and electroacoustic music over an orchestra of

loudspeakers. With beats, breaks and drinks at the 291 bar.

Eddie Prevost and Marianthi Papalexandri

Percussion guru Eddie Prevost, of the seminal avant-garde improvensemble

AMM will perform two sets of improvisations with Marianthi Papalexandri, who will play an assortment of objects. In the second set, they will be

accompanied by a live video improvisation by Fergus Anderson and Judith

Josepha Egger.

Mr Meridies (USA) (alias of Bob Boster)

Mr Meridies uses CD players as musical instruments. He will perform works

with an orchestra of CD players, laptop computer and mixing desk. Mr

Meridies will be performing two new pieces: 'Bema Seat' which juxtaposes

materials from sermons with "sinful" sources, and 'OIDAR', which features

real-time and prepared elements from radio broadcasts in England and the US.

Simon Emmerson (UK)- Live electronics performance

Zapruda Trio (UK/Sweden) (Simon Vincent, Joseph Bowers, Sten Olof

Hellstrom)- Live electronics ensemble, using a variety of analog and digital

media.
