Dana Bryant is one of the foremost performance poets working in America today. Her work as a jazz singer informs her performances. Her published books include ‘Song of the Sirens’, as well as many albums such as ‘Wishing from the Top’. She won the Grand Slam at the Nuyorican Poets Café and has worked with talents as diverse as Gil Scott heron, P.M.Dawn and Carleen Anderson.
Chris Abani is Nigerian by birth, but now lives in Los Angeles. He was imprisoned in Nigeria after writing his first novel at 16. His new collection of poetry, Kalakuta Republic, has been widely acclaimed and includes a foreword by Harold Pinter.
