EVERTON WRIGHT AND RENATE MORITZ - WALKING DRAWINGS* (Mini DV, 17 minutes 43 seconds)

This video installation attempts to redefine the role of the figure in drawing with the use of digital video. It also investigates the idea of public interaction with art. The two-way dialogue blends traditional ideologies with fresh application. Walking drawings is an experiment in a new way of drawing, swapping traditional media such as paint, charcoal and paper with digital celluloid pixels, video screens and people.

The story deal with curiosity and the needs to pry into the lives of others. Collector's

approach towards voyeurism is to examine the way people communicate or fail to communicate with one another. What is the essence of creating stories out of our observations in our everyday life?

These three-minute pieces experiment with digital and old-fashioned methods of creating a visual effect, and how they can be used together. My work plays on what is revealed and what is hidden. By repeating an image, an object or a word, it loses its original meaning and becomes de-familiarised and changes its value. My work is concerned with fictional and poetic possibilities in materials, images and places.

ANDREAS GEDIN - TWINS (Video, 9 minutes)

The novel 'Gemini' by the French author Michel Tournier tells the story of a pair of twins who are lovers. In the video, a pair of twins, or maybe the same person appearing as a mirror image, is reading the text by heart. They/he read half of the words each: the one on the left reads the first half of the words, and the one to the right fills in the last part of the words.

The text is about the twins. told b one of them. It is about a walk on the beach, about their communication and their love.

A pillagenIX film reassembled in response to incipient acts of Home Theatre, 5.1 Dolby surround sound, copyright infringement, downloads, piracy, conglomerate control, and popcorn.

MIGUEL ANGULO - MAR-E (Video, 3 minutes)

This video performance is part of a larger project of video performances in which I, along with some performers, was trying to hind a way between the two disciplines. in a wav that encompassed both languages, this is it, describing the performances using the videoart language and thus, creating a new way of expressing together what they are on one side live art and on the other recorded art.

A video portrait of 'him' by 'him', the artist and his lifelong obsession with images of women.

It's also a stud of the effects that rapidly alternating frames can create; excitement confusion. disorientation. The music soundtrack is minimalist until the closing minute.

YU-CHEN WANG - LENIN NEVER DIED (miniDV, 2 minutes, 13 seconds)

Contemporary Russian Myth: historical characters reappear in the Red Square. Comrade Lenin, Emperor Nickolai, Ivan the Terrible and security guards are iconic figures timelessly assembled together. As well as 'I' (tourist) was present there. These roles playing by the Street performers are signifiers of Russian historical and political figures. The historic sites and architectures are icons of an authentic Russian heritage. The event of gathering street performers, architectural background, international tourists, local souvenir sales agents and myself is a reproduction of many people's holiday snap shoot. The image of the video capturing itself is a copy of superficial level of recognition of Moscow.

WILLIAM RABAN - MM (2002, 16mm & video, 13 minutes)

Like an alien spacecraft landed on a poisoned wasteland, the Millenium Dome makes a fitting tribute to the works of New Labour. Taking the dome as a potent architectural symbol of the new millennium, MM is a meditation upon time reflecting the changing landscape in London's East End.

Raban has been described, along with his friend and fellow artist Chris Welsby, as one of the finest exponents of the genre known as 'Avant-Garde Landscape' film working in this country. However, the breadth and diversity of his work beyond the early landscape films should not be neglected. From experiments in painting 'lifting traces' from nature to his most recent film and installation pieces, Raban engages with pushing the medium, holding on to the fundamental belief that "making films is about showing people things, not telling them how to interpret the world."
