The Sally Barker Gallery continues its success at the 291 Gallery. The fourth exhibition at this miniature but monumental space features the group show "Themeless"

Truly a cause for celebration at 291 Gallery because The Sally Barker Gallery once again opens its magnificent & prestigious doors. After a sad break of several months The SBG returns to brighten up Londons blank canvas with this long & eagerly awaited fourth show: a show of such sparkling brilliance one can only comment that it is well worth the wait. "Themeless" not only occupies the "e" gallery but is sited throughout The SBG, the grounds, its mountainside & orbit above. The show embraces the fact that there is no theme, nothing ties these artists together, the only common ground is that the work is excellent & is in a monumentally brilliant gallery.

Tired of not showing her work, Sally Barker created her own model gallery, all 3 floors of beautiful, modernist architecture and built on a scale of 1:1OO. In the style of all true egotists, Barker's gallery sits on top of a mountain, the only access for her public being on the funicular railway. As well as being able to see Barker’s retrospective, there is also a showing space for other artists (the letter "e" in Barker). Proposals from artists for the "e" space are up on the wall. For those who haven't already seen this piece (Tate Modern earlier last year), a visit to 291 gallery is a must!
