An enormous amoeba-like luminous blob. Ally Wallace has created a monumental site-specific sculptural installation, for one evening only rising to the full height of the Neo-Gothic architecture and rhythmically falling, Groundswell will fill the entire Main Gallery space with constant mesmerising sound, light and movement. . .

Ally Wallace trained in Site-Specific Sculpture and Painting. His more recent work has focused on kinetic sculpture and installation. During the past 3 years Wallace’s practice has become increasingly involved with use of light. This extraordinary site-sensitive work is lucid and direct, using the coherence and simplicity of the medium of movement, sound and light.

Previously based in London, Edinburgh & Brighton, Wallace now lives and works in rural Northumberland.
