Event#1

291 Gallery is pleased to present Event#1 an full evening of live multimedia performances, dance for screen and live DJs, curated by the London based choreographer Tharan Revfem. The central performance of the evening will be InTransit - the latest piece choreographed by Tharan Revfem and performed by her London based dance company, Plire Multi Dance. InTransit presents a mixture of dance and physical theatre to a sound track created and performed live by the London based sound artist Mikkel H. Eriksen. Video set design is directed and edited by Nikolaj Bendix Skyum Larsen with cinematography by the young and very exciting filmmaker, Nathalie Gastoue. InTransit is an energetic and humorous tale about a woman’s observations and associations on the platform of a railway station. Event#1 is also host to an exciting programme of dance filmmakers and DJ’s, including dance films by Heidi Rustgaard (H2 Dance), Rani Nair (Imlata Dance Co), NBSL and Plire Multi. DJ sets by DJ Scenario (UK) down beat/hip hop, Matt Tucker (UK) up beat house, and Andreas Petterson (Sweden) electronica.
