About page

The 291 Restaurant was an intimate dining destination within the iconic 291 Gallery, seating up to 50 guests in a unique and atmospheric setting. The restaurant formed an integral part of the 291 Gallery, one of East London's most distinctive cultural art venues.

Serving modern European cuisine with international influences, the restaurant offered both à la carte and set menus, featuring seasonal ingredients and inventive dishes. Signature menu items included Wasabi Swordfish with Crispy Honshu Vegetable Rolls, Char-grilled Scotch Sirloin Steak, Lakeland Salmon with Vegetable Lattice and Caviar Champagne Sauce, and Soufflé of Lemon Stilton and Parmesan.

The restaurant was also available for private dining, celebrations, and corporate events, accommodating groups of up to 300 guests. Alongside regular service, the team provided bespoke catering for exhibitions, receptions, conferences and special occasions held throughout the gallery.

Combining exceptional food, historic architecture and a creative atmosphere, the 291 Restaurant became a memorable dining experience for both visitors and event attendees.
